omfg.. its dead..
Well, my car is dead.
I was driving down the road and I smacked into someone. See the diagram for a visual:
Im car A, I was behind car C but he started to slow down to fast, so to maneuver from smacking him, I went into the right lane to avoid the whole thing, then I saw car B stooped at a complete stop for no reason. Now normally I would have dove back into the lane i was in because bitch *** car C decided to speed up again, but instead car D got ansy and sped up to fill the space between him and C so naturally all i could do was smack the car. Now what once was a beauty is now gone. :/
I'll have picks for you, if you guys wanna check it out. There was almost no damage done to her vans back end.
::goes and crys about his car::
Later guys.. maybe I'll stick around and help out a little. Talk to you all later.

Also, for those who helped me with ym timing, thanks. I had manged to get all the backfires worked out, to bad the day had to go out in flames.

Bummer about the crashed car dude.
But I liked your 'visual aid' diagram, it was most effective. I feel like I was right there when it happened!

update:
Well, I have 30 days to make the claims woman realise it was not my fault, and it was an inevitable situation that would not have occured had that dumb *** not been stopped in the road.
I got pics on my digital and I'll post it up when I get home from work.

Jesus dude, that's terrible. I feel for ya... As of now I'm still accident free (crosses fingers), except for one stupid incident..I kinda sorta backed into a parked F150. Did more damage to his car than mine. I'd like to see pics though..must've creamed good to take the car out. What speed did you hit at? And you ok? Apparently seatbelts and head restraints work!

just hope you arent in florida...in this state if you rear end someone you are at fault, no matter what, even if the jackass was stopped dead in the road....sad but true...hopefully you'll be able to convince them otherwise

Not a fun day for you I can see.
Well good luck on convincing them it was not your fault.
Is the car twisted and crumpled up beyond repair? Or just not worth the effort?

poke out my eyes it's unbearable...this is why i HATE ignorant drivers.
things like "well, i wasn't paying attention"
hopefully you are able to fix it. if not and you need help buyin a new one i'll be there. i know you saved up for that car and had deserved it.
and hey, just be thankful that you're ok
Well first off I'm sorry to hear about your car, Wrecks suck. I HAD 2 cars, my 91CamaroRS and a 91Corsica. A guy hit and totalled my Corsica back in October. He made a left turn off of Main St. My car was at a dead stop on the road he turned down and he lost control of his F150 and the front end of his truck smacked the drivers side of my corsica.
On another note, I really am sorry about your car. In Arkansas same law applies, you rear end someone you are 100% at fault. Whos to say the car wasnt stopped b/c it stalled (has happened to me before right in the middle of an intersection last month with my Camaro) or stopped to avoid an animal. I just hope it dont cost you any money to fight it.

Damn, that sucks man.
I hope you are able to find another car. As for who's fault it was, sadly, the blame will fall on you. Car B will probably say they were slowing down to make a turn. If there are any witnesses, they will probably say they saw this Firebird weaving in and out of traffic. I am not saying that is what happend, but that is how a third party will probably view the situation. Was anyone injured?

Who knows though, if they suck enough all they have to do is claim they are having pains and cause me more anguish.
Other than that, nah, the pain in my back and neck has subside and the big ole bruise from the strap is going away, its kinda greenish yellow now. hehe
I'm going to the anaheim police department tomorrow to get the police report to see what the report states.
We shall see how it looks.

Well, I'm glad nobody got hurt. But I must say IF I ever get hit, and its not my fault. They will be paying for my ride and my daughters ride to the hospital. My fathers mom was in a wreck, didnt go to the hospital. Blew off her pain as aches from being in a wreck. 2 days later she died from internal bleeding. I'm not following exactlly how it wasn't your fault. I dunno, I wasn't there. But IMO you rear end someone your at fault. The car you rear-end has as much right to be on the road as you do. Let us know what the police report says.

Iam glad to hear no one was hurt! That does suck! But are you sure that is unfixable??? I know I can't really tell the extent of the damage by your pics, but I have seen much worse. I am also unsure how insurance works in the states there. I would really look into trying to fix it. Up here in Canada if you rearend someone...it is considered your fault..I'm not saying it was your fault, just how it works here. Still I would see about fixing it. It looks like it was a really nice car.

I agree, glad to hear nobody's hurt... cars can be fixed.
I did much worse to my Firebird, looks like yours is very repairable! Imagine yours, with the passenger side strut tower mashed down and backwards, the pass fender and inner wheel well destroyed, both headlights gone, the passenger side floor buckled inward from the firewall, the hood sticking out of a new hole in the windshield, and a cracked dashpad.
I went under a pickup truck.
You probably just need the front radiator support, but only a body shop could tell, because they'd have to see if your front subframe got pushed downwards (bent).
Cost to repair, $250 for an '84 parts car, $800 for frame swap, $100 to swap windshield over. Why so cheap? I stripped both cars to -just- a motor, giving the body shop a very easy job. If they had to strip both cars down, it probably would've cost a fortune. They did the cutting and welding and windshield swap and had my car back to me (towed over, of course) in 2 days.
