used either the 1200* or the 500* spray paint, I forget. the finish was dull, so it hit it w/some clear cote & it just shinyed right up!!. give it a lot of cotes, as spray paint doesn't go on that thick.
edit: clear cote was same temp range as paint

I have pic on link below in profile of mine. It was off the car when I painted it. I just used scotchbrite pad, and some prepsolve (degreser) and then misted on many of coats, then cleared on top of it.
Mine don't even have a heat range on it, and its sticking fine.
