I have change spark plugs and the wires ,distributor cap and rotor before I
change the clutch
when it cools down it seems ok again and it will even start ok when hot and

Check plug gap, Check your timing. That's the first thing I'd check.

SES light coming on?
When the MAF goes the car runs perfect cold, but once it reaches driving temperatures (10 minutes later) the car will hesitate, stall when you stop for a stop sign. Simular to what you have described.

Hi
thanks for the help
well I think I have found out what it is when I got the spark plug wires I was given the wrong ones I was given the ones with the elbow at the end and not the ones with the long tube on as they were cheap I thought that was why
any way one of the wires had melted on the exhaust and was shorting out if it had not been dark I would not have seen it

yes I know am a dumb *** :-)
any way i have taped it up and put it out of the way and it seems to run ok now
it will have to do untill i can aford to get the rigth ones

onces again thanks for the help

Alex

You say you were GIVEN the wrong wires? If an idiot guy behind the parts counter gave me the wrong part, I put it on and had problems, I'd take them back and exchange them for the correct part, burned wire or not.

Aggred, unless you bought a set that was "custom" make, then you are sol.

Mine are SUPPOSED to be "Custom" from Taylor..but guess what? Passenger side is way too long...by at least several inches per wire. Seriously though yeah, take the wires back. These auto places..they may bitch, and moan, and try not to give you exchanges and stuff claiming it's your fault..but guess what? Business rule still applies..the customer is always right. You get pissy enough with them and they'll give you whatever you want. Trust me..it works... I've done it once or twice.
