No MSD cap for V6?

I've been looking into improving my ignition system, and so far what I'm looking to get are A/C Delco plugs, I haven't decided yet on either Moroso Blue Max wires, or MSD wires (which ever way I'm going I'll be getting universal sets), and as far as coil, cap and rotor goes, I wanted to go all MSD. However, I called up Summit Racing today to find the part # and price for an MSD cap, and apparently they don't carry such a thing for the V6? Anyone know what's up with this?

Also, I've read that one should stick with just MSD, just Accel, just whatever products when redoin their ignition. If I can't get an MSD cap, should I just go all Accel (coil, cap, and rotor)? I've read that Accel's wires aren't too great so I'll get either Moroso or MSD anyhow. On that note, is there any difference quality wise that you all know of between Moroso and MSD's wires? Those MSDs are $30 more and if there's really no difference, I'll go for the Morosoes.

Sorry for the lengthy post guys, I do tend to get wordy

Hey, MSD does make a cap and rotor for this application. I have a camaro with a 3.1 and I looked in my MSD book before and saw them. I can't find my book right now to give you the part numbers but if I find it, I'll try to put another post up. But yes, they do make them.

Okay, cool, thanks. I guess I'll just have to find somewhere other than Summit to buy the cap. I'll check out AutoZone, Napa, and all those stores till I find one that carries it (unless anyone else knows off-hand some MSD dealers?). And if you can't find that MSD catalog, I just ordered one for myself. And unless that cap is exorbintely expensive, looks like I'll be going all MSD. Thanks for the help AM91Camaro_RS!

Nope, there's no MSD cap for a 2.8 -or- 3.1, never was. Oh and Summit is able to order anything MSD makes, by the way. If MSD made it, they'd be able to get it.

Haha, alright, well I guess I'll go with an all-Accel ignition (minus wires) then. That is, unless, somewhere here wants to talk me out of it and suggest something different, I always like to hear other opinions. Thanks for help AM91 and Tom!

Go take a look at http://www.msdignition.com , if you find a cap for us, let us know!

But yeah, I tried to go back to an AC/Delco cap/rotor, and wound up going back to an Accel cap/rotor kit: http://www.geocities.com/tomp_3rdgen/burnt-cap.html
