V6 headers...end of story
V6 headers...end of story
CHC is taking this header issue way too far. Yes he did a nice job, granted, But if you want stainless or turbo's or long tuboe or short tube, they can be made if you want to pay the price. A generic set is in the works. I have seen them with my own eyes and when you see them you can decide for yourselves if you want them or not. I was just informing the V6 guys that their needs were being addressed by a company that has time to build them. They will not be smog legal BTW.
Good luck CHC. I am truly sorry you've taken things the way you have. I personally think your a little sensitive and need to come back to reality but thats not what this post is about. Again sorry.

I can not beleive they even air it on TNN, it so cheaply made and not well thought out.
also the guy today was like asking this dude can i take your 1000 crocket for a spin, like the interview guy is just gonna hop on a bike and go, he sure does but points it straight at a crowd of people and a truck about 6 feet away, he took off like a hole shot, the truck and the people all ran for their lives.

Wayne...preachin to the choir..amen brother.
I think I've caught part of the show on TV before and watched one interview, laughed, and changed the channel. I'm a high school student, wanting to be a film major, and this is my 4th year in TV Productions... I'm telling you, my school's television program would be embarassed to show an interview like that. Matter of fact, we'd re-shoot it. Goes to show what happens when you let retards import fanatics try to run a TV show without any real television training.....down the sh*tter.
BTW-Notice how they try to draw attention away from the ****tiness of the interview with badly chosen clips and "artsy" multiple angles?

Thanks man...yeah, I guess I am kinda lucky there. All the local schools here have Television Productions programs, but my schools' is the most advanced...a buttload of cameras, remote studio cameras, VCR's out the wazoo...Premiere 5.1 for non-linear editing, we got a Casablanca but no one uses it... And...I can write..I just HATE doing it. HATE it.

May I?
What good is all the cameras & editing stuff you have....
IF NO ONE WROTE A SCRIPT TO SHOOT!
AND
Never "Hate" anything.
Adapt
Or
Die
Ask any of the outta work production people in Hollywood what they would be doing, because someone wrote words for a script to produce.
AND
IF YOU WRITE A SCRIPT, guess who produces it?
GUESS WHO may cast THE LEADING LOVELY LADY
Because YOU WROTE HER INTO YOUR SCRIPT TO PRODUCE!!!
You need an internship at a local TV station, aim for that goal & start contacting ANYONE to help your goals
AND that internship MAY NOT NEED BE LOCAL.
DO you have relatives somewhere else to camp at their home while ya intern at different market TV station?
PS Know how much fun it is to write a script for a "Rock Video?"
Know how much more fun it is to operate on a shoestring budget, work for gas & beer money & work 12 hours days, then end up sleeping on a couch of a buddies, all for that one break?
Been there, too!
But when I saw my TV Commericals I helped edit, played to a world wide TV viewing audience during the Olympics of 1984.......
That was as much fun as staring at the 1 of 5 HUGH billboards I produced, located at the beginning of the Sunset Strip.
Billboards "glow" at night time, look better, ya know!

KED...yeah man, I'm considering it....dunno what I'm gonna do though, or even what I want to do exactly. All I know right now is, I'm going to college for it, and I love editing videos...I like the creative aspects and special effects-type stuff. But I'm thinking if I can't cut anything in television, because I'm a very shy person with no ***** or motivation, which is very very bad, then I'm going to say the hell with it and go back and take a big ol' mechanic's course, get me ASE certified, and see where I can work. I don't know right now.. Oh and hey...a girl I might be hooking up with has an...84 or 85 Firebird. It's gotta be all restored though, but it is driveable. Sounds like a project to me..

I dont want to start a fire but if you wantto get back on topic so bad.
I think CHC should of not let just a few people steal his thunder. also counting on dopes in this board to support a business is not gonna work. soon as you mention anything here, someone will steal your idea.
Like if I said i could sell aldl cables for 1o buck, wont take long and someone will have them for 8.
If i was CHC Id keep making headers but not for this board, sell them like a business or on ebay,. Look into ceramic coating them, its super easy, and super cheap. easier and safer than spray paint.
only one kind needs to be oven cured and that is only for chrome ceramic.
After reading the BS that went on with the other threads, would rather throw a decent thought out there.
The product your connection may make.
Why won't they make their product smog legal?
What's their excuse?
Why deprive a product of a broader market place presence?
All ya gotta do is weld a simple EGR extension on a pipe & send finished product to CAAB for approval plus some $.
What's their excuse?

The company is MI based, which has zero smog laws or tests. It will first cater to its local customer base, then possibly with some of my assistance, to the rest of the world via internet.
Also, getting CARB certs does cost $, and if you want the price to stay down for all the rest of the consumers that don't have smog tests, why make their product cost more money just so you can get maybe 3 more customers from one state.
Realisticly, how many people with V6 F-Bodies are going to spend their money on headers? Maybe a handful, but not like the V8 guys do. And how many customers are there going to live in states that have strict smog testing? Maybe a few, but not enough to warrant spending money on the certification, then having to raise the price of the product to compensate. It just wouldn't be worth it. But thats not for me to decide.
I will keep you posted as to the progress of the prototype set and will post pics and specifics when the time comes. I would set a timeframe sometime soon after the new year.
Please post comments on what you'd like to see. I will pass along the info and see what else can be done. Please include specifics as to what you want and the price you'd be willing to pay for getting it. It can be anything from generic 1 1/2 shorties with mandrel y-pipe to stainless 1 3/4 long tubes with a custom y-pipe. You name what you want and I will see what this company can do for you. As I've said before, this is meant to help people out and provide them with a product that they need, not to take make people like CHC run away with his tail between his legs. I'm not going to re-kindle the flame, but I do want to say that he should continue what he was doing, profit from it, and reward himself for his accomplishments while at the same time providing fellow enthusiasts with what they need.

Edit: A word to Doward (Since the other thread was locked) You might want to keep your mouth shut you POS when you don't know your facts about what I have contributed to the car world. I have approx $1000 buck wraped up into this headers venture ($50 of that to CHC to help out that immoral POS. I am not even trying to make a profit like his *** is) I'm trying hard to get smog approval for us guys in Cal. Also you may have heard of Centerforces Dual-Friction Clutch- That was me that developed it for Mike Hays you asswipe. Should I go on....
I currently too have a header deal in proposal right now, waiting for responses- but again not for profit! This is a car/motor I really passionately want to modify but still be able to street drive it over the years to car events and occasional auto-x because it is rare to see a modified 60*v6 in a Camaro. Besides, its light weight allows me currently to pull OVER 1.1 G's- do that with a V8 Camaro.
