Ravin' exhaust clips

Here's a couple clips of my exhaust, one is revving to 2k, then 3k, then to 5k. Sounds kinda bad that high but the second clip is idling cold which I think sounds really good.

edit: might help if I put the links here...

Any system on it? Sounds stock, maybe minus the cat....sounds like a 2.8 not a 3.1 too....

Actually..no...sounds stock during a rev, but sounds way better at idle.

I've got a Ravin' Z-55 on it with I'm pretty sure 2.5" mandrel bent pipes. It was cheaper than the stock replacement when I had a hole in my muffler so I got the entire cat-back. At high revs under load it sounds about like it does at idle except louder.

2.5 + mandrel bending = pure gold

Not bad at all!!! Wish I could get a decent clip of my exhaust, but my camera's microphone refuses to pick up audio of any decent quality, and it has no mic hookup either. Last time I got a clip on here..it made my car sound stock and quieted...didnt pick up on ANY of the exhaust bass note...which there is a LOT of! 3.1 liter with a high flow cat and Dynomax 2.5 in. catback with 3 1/4 in. chrome tips. Deep as hell at cold idle..sounds like a 305 until it heats up..then the cat keeps it quiet except between, say, 2200 and 3500....it's loud and nasty between those two.

BTW....how's that TB bypass work for you? Notice anything? That's one item I've been debating on doing...along with extreme-scale weight reduction.. I'm REALLY REALLY considering very hard whether I want to keep my back seats or not....I'm torn.

I'm actually planning on getting a high flow cat for this car soon. The one on there has never been touched in 12 years so its most likely clogged at least a little bit but funds are very low now cause of all extra money going to recording our band's demo tape...

You're in Florida right? You should have no bad effects of a TB bypass and to me it seemed like throttle response improved a bit. Lot's of people say there is no advantage but for 3 dollars in parts I did it anyway. Also my car stays outside all the time and even when it's been below freezing all night there's absolutly no problem starting in the morning.

I might just try it...and yeah it never gets close to freezing here. I wore a t-shirt all day..it was hot. Where Winter weather went, I have NO idea....

I'm on a lot of other forums under my real name so maybe that's it?
