Yep, Merry Xmas to all! And how 'bout this... got a steering wheel for my computer yesterday! Thing's even got a shifter and a set of pedals (gas & brake) for the floor. So, just wondering... any of you guys know about any new racing games out there that are pretty good? Last one I remember downloading was Stunt Driver, back in 1992, with my 2400 baud modem...
'Course now that I have $$, I'd rather buy the game for real! Any indy courses, or things like Test Drive? (Last one I remember was Test Drive 3! I even have Test Drive 1 somewhere at home, on a 5.25" floppy disc!)
Thing's even got a force feedback wheel (setup is made by Logitech, it's the Momo Force Feedback one), so I guess it's gotta be a relatively new game to handle this thing. Just looked it up at compusa.com - http://www.compusa.com/products/prod...csearch=&cmid= Thanks for any info!
edit #2: I love the description of the pedals! Know what the "unique gripping system that prevents slippage on carpets" is? A little spike that can pop out from the bottom. Didn't know it was that unique!

TomP, I've had a computer driving game call Sports Car GT by EASports for a few years now, don't know if it is still availible. On a fast enough computer it is very lifelike. Has a good adjustable garage setup page to tweak the suspension and such.
I got out of a ticket once about 10 years ago by telling the Officer that I had just recieved a speeding ticket last month and that I couldn't afford to get another so soon---"So could you just like take me behind that building and just beat me alittle or something?" He laughed so frikin hard he let me go. He said it was the bravest excuse anyone had ever told him.

Ha ha..my buddy's got a bug....but I dont think it's diesel.... Does too many rpms to be diesel... Such a pain to drive though...the clutch is horrific...not to mention every time I give it gas and bring the clutch in nice and easy, as soon as I release the clutch completely the engine starts to bog and shake and tries to stall...
I AM STILL SHOCKED HOW MUCH $$$ THOSE THINGS BRING......
Almost as much as an Old Classic 70's Corvette
DISGUSTING.....
Only way I ever made a beetle peel out...
Popped clutch, car facing BACKWARDS, going UPHILL IN REVERSE!!!!!!!
Have you seen prices for those old bug busses & the multi window ones? Would NEVER have imagined.....
Anyone in Oakland, CA area going to see New Years Eve performance of "The Other Ones" in concert? Lucky.....

Hell if it gets late enough I don't even want to be on the roads, that's when all the drunks really come out! Me and the fiance always stay where we drink, it's safer (and more fun) that way. Supreme Member

LOL, yeah, just got home a few minutes ago (laptop was in "sleep mode", forgot about it, figured I'd hop on here real quick), had some crap go down at the party we were at; I stopped drinking 'round 12:30, and we didn't bother sleeping over. Oh well. Glad I wasn't involved in all that crap!
Happy 03 to me!
