I was going too, but changed my mind about it. They were gonna be nice too. I was going to tune them on my car(I have quite a few mods done) then sell those bins on chips.

What are you gonna do with your V6 stuff when you get that new engine? Can I buy that Y pipe you got?

Sure, ionicswing, you are! Spend the $300 on the prom tuning equipment. You don't need to be a computer geek to program a prom. The hardware works on it's own... first you erase a chip in the eraser- they're UV (ultraviolet light), so you open the eraser, put the chip in, close the eraser, and leave the chip in for a couple minutes. Then you put the chip in the prom burner, and basically click "OK" on your computer to burn the chip.

If you use a software like TunerCat you see everything in front of you, in charts. Pick up a $75 laptop from Ebay and you're all set! You could burn chips from your house computer, but then you kinda lose out on the ability to tune the chip by driving. I suppose you could buy a $50 inverter (changes car cigarette lighter into 110 volt power outlet) and pile your computer into your car... but that's a pain in the butt. Plus, might as well spend the extra $25 for a laptop for the "cool" factor.

2. I got the equipment for burning chips for...(list is coming)
1. Burner programmer... 92-96 bucks, and a damn good one, I might add.
2. Tuner cat... FREE... Cracked. HA HA.
3. Eraser... 'bout $10 bucks Black light and case.
4. Laptop.. Up to you. I am still waiting to get a good one personally.
5. Chips... $22 for 10? Ebay

So lets recap...
round to 95 for burner
Tunercat.00

Hmm looks like 147ish to me. Pluse laptop.

Oh and if any want the BIN file and the TDF for tunercat let me know, I have both. Now to just find that damn cracked tuner cat again... Oh well if nothing else, Download Kazaa and search for it. Download it there, Someone HAS to have it there.

I'm still trying to find a system to burn the chips in the 93 camaro/bird ecms. Eventually I will get this stuff for the 91.

as far as I know the chip in the 93-up F bodies are flashable, meaning they can be removed, read by the burner/programmer(to get the bin) then, you just have to find the TDF file, but anyway, after they have been read by the pragrammer, they can be eased, then reprogrammed. Or if your system is OBD2 you can get a Power programmer from hypetech, tell them your mods and they "may be able to" create a bin that can be flashed onto the chip.

And to those that want a copy of tuner cat, I fouind my *copy* and have loaded it into my drive, installed, and as a .Zip file. I am currently tring to get it loaded into my mail box, to make sending it out alot faster. I also have the user info that I will send along with teh email.

I'd rather pay the $100 for the program than cheat Tunercat out of money.

BOO HOO, not all of us have money to waste on programs like that. And thanks to the internet and P2P file sharing.
So back to the point at hand, if you want a copy email me.

Camaro.....I'm not trying to **** you off, but if you MENTION free tunercat files one more time, you will be banned. I've already had the owner of Tunercat emailing me complaining about this, and the fact that they decided to support the V6 guys only to get taken advantage of is appalling.

Remember, support those who support you.
