2.8 miles per gallon

What kind of gas mileage do you guys get with your 2.8s. I get 11, but i am running on about 4 and a half cylinders due to some valve problems. I was just wondering what I should expect to get with a properly running 2.8

Last week I got 24.1 mpg on the highway. I had a bad exhaust leak so I hope to get some better mpg next week. Yikes running o 4 cylinders, thats just gotta be awful.

cool

i'll look forward to that kind of mileage. The four cylinder thing isn't so bad, except in this real cold weather. My car likes to put out huge plumes of smoke upon start-up.

I've measured the gas milage in my 85'Firebird at about 27 mpg a few times when I drove to and from college. Its about a 180 mile round trip, about 2/3 of the trip is highway miles.

if driven nicely (a pretty big if) my bird will actually beat my the corolla, my extra car's average gas mileage. it'll get 30-37 on the highway, and 20-30 around time. keep in mind that's if i go the speed limit and shift at approx 2500 rpm

2.8 MILES PER GALLON?!?! .....THATS HORRIBLE

you actually had me going there for a second. i got 25mpg awhile back. about 300 miles per tank. that was town, country, and freeway combined. freeway driving by itself got me about 30mpg. that was in WA though

over here i get 270miles per tank
