if a 3.8 is a 90 degree engine could i use the v8 bell housing to hook it up to the tranny, i think i might be picking 1 up off a buddy a mine, he has a 92 bonnvileand he's getting a new engine. so i want to know if its worth the 800$ for the swap and are the wiring harnesses hard to get

need more details on what it's for.
remember, the the 92 engine is a 3800 Series I. the blown versions of these are just as powerful as an N/A Series II.
a little food for thought

Car: 1991 Corvette Coupe
Engine: L98
Transmission: 700R4/4L60 same trans different name
FWD (and newer RWD for that matter) 3.8's use the same bolt pattern as the 60* V6
(yes, i was shocked when i found out too)
so if you can somehow get around having your starter on the wrong side (cut your tranny case maybe?, if you have a manual trans your prolly screwed because thats where the slave cylinder mounts)
IMHO its not worth all the work.......

if you go to the gm parts site, a replacement 3800 motor doesn't specify fwd or rwd. it fits both platforms
