Need to change the Oil Filter Housing Bolt-Any Tips?

My o-ring on the current bolt in the oil filter housing is so shot.
I need to change it out.
Any tips?
I know get the car off the ground and use jack stands.
I already have another spare bolt with new o-ring.
Any good plan of attack?

When I did mine I used a swivel socket and extensions. After the housing was removed I tried to scrape off the old gasket --- it was a no-go. I used some black RTV on the back of it and reassembled. While it's off, I'd put a new oil pressure sensor on it.

My concern is the motor mount set up.
Does it get in way?
I'm gonna try for just the bolt repalcement and good clean up of area to see if more work needed.
I'm hoping I'm lucky.

Motor mount was not an issue on my 83. I just set her on jack stands and used the swivel and extensions to get at it.

I told her to go rent a car!
Because I have easy access to the Blazer (it's still in project stage), I see the Blazer oil filter housing bolt, easier.
Firebird, until it's up in air....
1983?
I figured that mission would be more difficult cause of the Fuel Pump close by.

I used socket & ratchet. It was cocked a little bit, but worked. This was when I was having the gasket leak there. Get osme gasket remover spray & le it sok inon both surfaces. This worked really good in getting rid of the old gasket that wasnted to stay w/the engine. put the black rtv on both sides of the new gasket when installing.

I accomplished this the other day.
I keep checking ground as I can't believe how perfect a job I did! SO FAR!
The hardest part was removing the old gasket.
Screwdrivers, razor, gasket scrapper carb cleaner worked perfect.
My oil filter housing was so loose!
I had my old bolt & old "O" ring I used for the 3.4 swap. Added the new "O" ring onto the old bolt, had NEW filter housing gasket, put black RTV on both sides of the gasket, tightened down, let it dry over night WITH NO oil in crankcase.
Next morning filled up oil in crankcase, drove and just kept checking ground cause I still can't believe how dry is the ground!
Access isn't too bad. Remove the tire for best access.
So worth it, this job.
Took about 90-120 minutes.
