HELP!! Will this oil pan fit my car???

i have an 89' 2.8L V6 and i need an oil pan......i found this one....it's for a 3.4L V6 will it fit? Thanks

NO it will not work.
WHY
The 2.8 pan has the front lip that connects to the timing chain cover.
Two 8MM fine thread bolts hold pan to t. chain cover.
When I do my 3.4 swaps, I retain the 2.8 original engine timing cover & pulley & oil pan as a complete unit.
The 3.4 pan is straight out (2.8 pan dips down) & also 3.4 is a one piece oil pan gasket.
The 2.8 is a two piece gasket item.
Pass on this option.

Er, Karl, you're thinking of the 82-86 oil pan. This pan used a two-piece gasket (rubber at the rear seal, cork for the side rails and front), and bolted to the bottom of the timing chain cover.
The 87-92 oil pan uses a "reusable" (although I wouldn't!) oil pan gasket, made out of rubber. It also has a different "slope", I believe, in the front, then an 82-86 oil pan.
I'm 90% sure of this... can anyone verify? I don't think the pan bolts to the timing chain cover on 87-up 2.8/3.1's.

When I bought one for my 3.4l swap, it said like 87/88'ish, and up 2.8/3.1/3.4l.
But I do belive ked is correct that the front lip on that thingie looks funny. Maybe for a fwd 2.8??

Hm; good point. I might have the Gen II's in my mind... but I coulda swore... anyone want to peek at their 87-up timing chain cover for a verification?

I know my pans dont have a front like that, it is more boxy with chamfered edges. Plus the front is damn near identical with the back flange wise.

The 3.4 examples I've worked with are the 1995 model year 3.4 engines.
Those two pans are different.
I wouldn't seek out a 3.4 pan as an alternative for a 1985 60* oil pan. Those oil pans are drastically different..
