put in my aluminum driveshaft

I got my aluminum driveshaft put in on wednesday and at the same time put in a 45000 volt coil. I will tell you that my car definitely pulls harder now. With the new coil there is no hesitation at all and the new driveshaft definitely makes a difference with acceleration. It only took me a total of an hour to do everything. If anyone wants my old driveshaft just email or PM me.

I got it from a local junkyard around here. It is called GM Sports Salvage. They specialize is camaro's and firebird's. It is from a 93-up camaro and I paid 216.50 for it with tax. They are a little overpriced but very good to deal with and can give you your money back if not satisfied. But I am very satisfied. I got the coil off of ebay for like 28.95 or something. It is made by Proform. But, the two mods together make a huge difference.

The aluminum driveshaft weighs 12 pounds and the stock one weighed 17 i believe. That does not sound like a lot but when you are dealing with rotating mass it makes a huge difference.

sounds like your drive shaft could perhaps be out of balance? Or maybe tires or your rims? There are a number of things that could be causing vibrations at your top end...

okay, well I'm not too familiar on the costs or eeven where to go for such a thing but it might be cheaper to have your existing one rebalanced if money is an issue. Otherwise I'd say heck with the current one and put the money towards the aluminum one!
