Well since the motor in my camaro went and died i really cant come up with an answer of what to do with it,i would love to fix it up but resources right now are really there. I was thinkin of pullin the motor and trans and sellin it as a roller and then partin oiut the 2.8 and sell the tras seperate but i dont know. Any thoughts??

It's up to you bro. Personally I would sell the car and try to get another thirdgen, or move up to the V8 world, but it's entirely up to you.

Just make sure the next car you get isn't a civic.

It's probably not worth much. I'm looking at a 5sp parts car here with a bad motor. The guy wants $300, but I want to pay $200. I'm in no hurry, since i have my 3.4 parts car in the garage right now.

Your car looks like it has more good parts than this one; I'd be happy to pay $400 for it. But it'd have to be in FL, which doesn't help you any. Maybe you can find someone like me up there......

I bought my project car with bad motor and needing a bit of bodywork, but everything else good: AC, trans, interior, glass, no rust. Got it from a neighbor for $100.

The weather's great here. I'll pay for your weekend at a modest hotel if you wanna bring me the car!

later

Yea i want to stick with Thrid gens, i lovem', Civic.....dont get me started on imports lol

The body is on the car is really good and so is the trans. Just the motor smokes and knocks like a jack hammer lol

I was thinkin of pullin the motor and trans and sell it as a roller so maybe someone lookin for a drag car shell or V8 project would see it and pick it up. Theres a track thats bein built near me and it should be finished next summer so i figure with that goin on some one will want to build a drag to race with.

Id love to come to FL,my aunt lives there. But i have no way to hual the car or i would lol

You're gonna tell me you don't have space to store that?
IF I was you
I'd pull engine, strip good stuf for swap, rebuild it, put aside.
Fix body, paint, locate engine while doing this, hen drop in the 3.4 mill upon body & paint completion.
Wish ya was close buy, I'd buy those wheels from ya.

Perhaps ya could store the car at a school work space as the engine is being rebuilt.
Once the car is mobile, I figured ya'd have less problems with the car storage issue.

Are you able to build a small shop to store it in? Build something like 10 X 20 and throw some cheap tin roofing ontop to keep the elements out.
I built my entire shop and polishing shop for about 3000.00 bux, 1/3 went into pouring the concrete pad, the rest was way too much building supplies and the high quality metal sheeting. Coulda done it for 2g instead of 3g.

:sillylol: Yeah I dont think they'd like that.
Lol, I rebuilt my entire car outside in the elements during winter Theres nothing like a da sander shooting icesickles onto your cherry red hands while in freezing tempatures. Summer is great for car projects, thank *** I was able to build my shop I love it so much
For 50 a month thats not real bad how big is it and how far away from you??? When I painted my car it was 45 miles away in a freinds shop the only fun thing was trailering it home and seeing all the looks that fresh paint job got.

I know, right? I keep telling the woman that when we get married, the garage is mine, I really don't care about what she does with teh rest of the house (decorating-wise). I already have a joke going with her; I keep telling her I'm going to dig a huge hole in the backyard and sink a tractor-trailer into the ground... then cover the trailer back up with soil & grass... build steps going down, and then I could keep all my car parts in there. Tell me that wouldn't be cool! She doesn't seem to think so...

A parts trailer in the ground that would be cool. Better yet a under ground car shop. While your underground theres no worry of a tornado leveling your shop down, but if you live in the far west earthquakes will get you.
2 blocks aint that bad and for 50 a month

Actually that does exist.
Ever visit a Jiffy Lube or Pennzoil Oil change pit?
FOR you guys back east, it is the perfect solution!
I may do that here at my house!
My garage is on a level high dirt pile.
Actually I just want to move back to 52 acres again and have the barn that was larger than the house with attached swimming pool house.

alright, here's what i think you should do...sell me your car as is...for say about $400. i'm kindda rollin' over the idea of another project car...so...let me ask you a few quick questions...
1.) how's the body (honestly). how much rust?
2.) i'm not a huge connesuire of v-6s, so excuse me if i ask what kind of 5-speed is in there (t-5 or is that just wishfull thinking).
i think thats good enough for now, get back to me on that.
oh! and how is the interior??

Body:
Really good shape, couple of small ding on the hood(like dime size if that) New pass. door. Drivers door, the boottom seem is rusted but i plan on fix/replacing it.

Tranny:
I do believe its a T-5, Everyone i bring up the tranny to says its a 5 speed manual T-5. What other 5 speeds came in these cars??

Interior:

Sunroof,no leaks
Headliner sagges but am fix/replacing
Seat are real good

Carpet in good shape needs to cleaned tho, Theres on hole in the capet on the drivers side i think its under the brake pedel but ill look to make sure.

I pulled up the carpet in the back and the metal and paint under it looks brand new. I havent had a chance to pull up the front yet,its been rainin
