To much pressure...
i twist my gas cap and usually it should go psssss..for like 2-3 seconds, instead mines doing it for like 10 seconds, do i need a fuel filter or is it something more serious? and if it matters, i get 170 miles per 7.5 gallons, which is like 22 mpg

Might be a blocked check valve. If you crawl under the car, it's up above the rear axle tube on the driver's side, it's plastic, with one hose going to the tank. It's on a bracket with one 10mm bolt holding it to the car body... it'll be "way up there" above the axle. Look at the area of the body that's slanted for the rear seat back.
My fuel cap has never released pressure when I remove it.

well thaks for replying. im gonna have the fuel filter replaced and see if that fixs it, if it doesnt i wasted like $6. what would cause it to almost stall when i stop quick? ive had a few people say its the fuel filter being clogged
Does sound like a fuel delivery problem to me. Does it only do it when the tank is low? Like around 1/4 . If yes then it's normal.
It be a simple as the fuel filter. Or as difficult as a leaking fuel presure regulator or failing fuel pump. Get a fuel presure tester and see what sort of presure you are getting. Both with the key in on position , but not the start postion and also check with the engine running.

i dunno how to check fuel pressure. one thing i thought was odd, most people get bad gas mileage with a bad fuel filter right? well mines pretty good, actually very good for the way i drive. the tank is building up alot of pressure and isnt losing any of it. i can put the gas in drive the car home and its got alot of pressure, or i can drive it for a week and it will have alot more pressure in the tank. when i relized that if i slow down fast the car almos stalls i had a full tank, i was actually pulling out of the gas station..thanks for the help guys
