puttin 3rd gen aluminum heads on 3.4
They're from the second gen of the FWD 60* engine family. 1987 (?) & above.
It raises the intake over 6"
LOTS of custom stuff including the exhaust manifolds.
Just read of it being done.
Oh the guys pocket book was aching over $2K
Ran good but
I'd go buy a V-8 car for the $2K!
And keep the V-6 car as back up for free!
Good luck with your decision.
Atleast ya didn't ask about a supercharger or turbo charger or legal headers!

Ya never read that thread?
TOO WILD
He was actually doing it.
Got car running
Sounded strong.
Said felt "good"
BUT compatibility was out the window.....
LOTS OF detail custom stuff.
BUT the idea is just so bitchin!
The real deal is the next series of the RWD 60* mill arriving this Fall at GM dealers as Caddy engine in a CADDY!
I'd love to KNOW THAT the long block swaps with our early stuff!
Manifolds sure look so & so does the timing cover.
WHAT I'M REALLY HOPING FOR
IS
The 2003 designed exhaust manifold fit our early chassis & they add HORSEPOWER DUE TO COMPUTER AIDED DESIGN TECHNOLOGY AND CAN BE SMOG LEGAL IN CA ON MY 3.4 60* RWD F BODY ENGINE
IF I didn't have other "too good" rides and I DIDN'T HAVE TO DICK WITH CA SMOG, I'd do this!!
I'd do the heads adapted to the Fiero intake (of course the valve covers, too!), with a straight shot not curved hitting alternator.
I'd media blast clean & clear coat several times!
A friend has a set sitting on ground. Need rebuilding.
Friend, really ditch the idea.
Or go buy a V8 ride.
Serious the guy was up to $2K into project, including heads.
