Are the 3.4L heads the same as the 2.8's?

Engine: 3.5L M30
Transmission: 4HP22E
Are the 3.4L heads the same as the 2.8's?

are they the same? or do the 3.4 heads have bigger ports?

I'm almost positive the 3.4's got better heads.

at advance auto parts, its 300$ for both heads. Heads + Better cam and 1.6 roller rockers should give a pretty noticable performance increase.

there the same size and they will work on either...the 3.4 head has thicker valve seats for a bigger cam so you can run higher spring rate

you're not talking about the aluminum ones are you? i might be thinking of something totally different but the ones i'm thinkin of use a different intake.

you must be thinking of the fwd 3.4 w/the bbc style splayed valves. if you go this route, heads up must be from fwd. this setup has been done on a 4th gen 3.4 motor.
