will the block be able to accept conventional motor mounts?
or only FWD dogbones?

also, you will have to grind away some of you tranny considering the starter is on the opposite side

you could probably make your own motor mounts/plate thing.

thats the only info i have on it so far... i dont even know if the blocks are the "same" as the 2.8/3.1/3.4, i just know that its a 60degree.

The engine is coming in RWD also.
I believe I saw the 3.5 or 3.6 (not sure exactly I've read diff "numbers") in action when I saw the 2005 Caddy STS roadtesting in Van Nuys, CA the other week.
See AUTOWEEK July 7th issue for the full story of what I sighted.

the 3.5 and the 3.6 are different, there will be BOTH a 3.5 and a 3.6L 60degree V6.

The 3.5 is not DOHC or anything, its a single cam pushrod. (like the 2.8L)

The 3.6 is supposed to be DOHC.

I know the one I saw was a 3.6 & that follows with what I've read in Hot Rod, Car Craft.
The Autoweek article I read after I spied the 2005 Caddy STS being roadtested said it's powered by the 3.6.
IF I'm correct in my assumption (I've only seen one pic) the 3rd Gen & 4th Gen headers from PaceSetter will also fit those 60* mills, too.
The new 60* mill pic I've seen was in Car Craft & that front timing chain cover sure looks identical to the engines of our 3rd Gen rides.
Kinda gives me hope now that when my 3.4 one day dies, I can go to a wrecking yard & just upgrade by a used low milage long block again.

I thought the 3.6 was that fancy "high feature" deal with the twin in block cams with 24 pushrods working 24 valves?

The 3.6L is a DOHC 24 valve 60 degree V6--not a pushrod. Nothing in common with the OHV 3500.
