What to do with 3.1L V6?

In about a month I'm going to go pick up a 305 and a 700R4, which will complete the majority of the pieces I need to convert my 91 Firebird to a V8. Here's the problem. I've got a good running 3.1 and a good 700R4 that I have no use for. The car runs perfect, but I don't know anyone who has any interest in the engine/transmission. I'm going to post an ad in the classifieds, but I figured I'd drop in here in case anyone needs 3.1 pieces. I'm going to have the engine, transmission, some accessories, the fuel injection, exhaust, etc. Everything works perfectly. The exhaust, and MANY pieces have been replaced recently.

Has anyone found a market for 3.1 parts?

A jeep person, or s10 person, etc may like it.

Simple/good upgrade for them, or engine atleast.

There would be some interest for a 3.1, to some of the owners of other RWD platforms that use the 60*V6, like the S-series, Jeep, some Isuzus also used the same engine, but the starter is on teh opposite than the RWD uses. S-series owners would be your best bet, some love the MPFI intake.

There is something I am interested in though, what ECM does the 3.1 use in the Camaro? and what type of EGR valve? Is it Vacuum controlled through electronic controls from the ECM?

It wasn't until I read this post that made me wonder.

I think the 3.1s use the same 3 tower digital egr as the 3.4 motors.I'll post on another site & see if any of them are interested.

That would make sense, which is an option to convert back to a Digital EGR, and modify the code since it looks like I'll have to start (the code) from scratch anyway.

The EGR is the digital EGR, the ECM is the same 7730 as a V8, so I'll be using it.

Also, the block can be drilled for a FWD starter for less than $40 at a machine shop.

Hold up before anouncing to anyone else who may want it... Cause I have a 3.1L v6 and I need the Heads... Cause who ever owned it before me stripped the spark plugs and they spin but wont come out.... I took it to a shop they said they will have to put new heads on it... I told them I would do it my self.... if ur not wanting to get rid of the heads seperately and want to just sell the engine as a whole.....

Well first off, where is this located?????

U have no idea how relieved I am to find someone parting out of there 3.1.......

Yeah they could if they could get the old spark plug out. I asked them whats about drillin' it out, they thought it was a bad idea, but I just might try that anyhow..

He is in south dakota, where you are in north carolina. Shipping would be outragous on some heads. You could prob get some cheaper from local yard.
