Extensive ignition experience needed!!!

Alright, I'm at my wits end on this ignition problem. Somebody has got to know something that I haven't done.
I have an orange spark in 2 different spark testers
I also have, new plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, distrbutor, and a coil that tests ok.

Is there maybe some wires in the harness that could be causing this problem? Could my computer be causing some sort of problem with it? Could it be something in the distributor?
Any ideas?

How much ya wanna fix this problem?
Really
Rebuild distributor & see the results.
Incidentally, the spark from the plug wire to "ground" (for testing spark) must be LIGHTENING BOLT BRIGHT WHITE!
Really or else you do not have enough juice to ignite the engine.
Try testing alternator, also.
Do a search for my article on rebuilding the distributor.
Your weak parts COULD be inside the distributor.
For fun I had today see my thread on starters & batteries.
Been there with weak spark, too.
Damn, tired of learning hard way!
Oh well, my labor is cheap!

Ok, I have a brand spankin new distrib so thats not the problem. Last time I had my alt tested it tested above the norm.

Could a wire before the coil or distributor be causing this problem?

Also, the car doesn't run like it has spark that weak, what other way can I safely check the spark.

Paperclip, inserted into spark plug boot
DON'T HOLD THE PLUG WIRE
Rest it against some good metal
Turn over engine.
Look at spark jumping gap
Yes, so this in "dark" area for best "light reading"

Good going on scoring new distributor!
Here is how I mounted my coil, I use remote mounting to ward off evil hot spells from exhaust manifold

How is it ghetto?
It's remount mounted
vibration proofed
easy to create & install (two screws drilled from top)
Utilizes high tech light weight metal bracketry
accessible.
I did want to mount it below the rain gutter lip, but, I did this & until it breaks (doubt it!)...
It's inspired by racing technology!
My intake is factory.
You MUST be referring to my "infamous"! Hokey Air Cleaner Set Up!

Karl, is that a metal wire wrapped around the coil wire? I don't like that.

I don't understand the orange spark problem. If the car is running properly -- if it ain't broke -- don't fix it.

All the "stainless steel wire" does....
It supports/holds the coil wire so it doesn't touch anything.
It's been like that for over two years now & not a problem or any cuts into the coil wire
Alot of people "said" don't mount the coil upside down.
On my Blazer, the coil has been mounted upside down for over 12 years & 100,000 miles & it still works.
