The grim reality.................

Bird didn't pass e-check again, so it'll be sitting this winter awaiting a 0.4 liter transformation.

It did get better in it's numbers, didn't even smoke durring the test:

........2nd test...............3rd Test............PASS
HC...762.1..................220.7..................157
CO...13.8....................8.44.....................1
NO....Not Tested.........71.6...................1121.0

Well, I'll just plan my attack, work out how to get this done in the garage, and get yall updated. BTW, I get to save $70 in surance w/the bird of.

I take it that you:

Changed your air filter to a ultra-cheap but brand-new one - lowers CO

and

Checked for a misfire (cleaned plugs, cleaned cap/rotor, checked wires, checked timing) - lowers HC

you have a 3.4 with a 85 ecm and 3.4 injectors ??? if so switch back to the 2.8 injectors set the base time to 10btdc and try agian. 3.4 injectors are bigger then 2.8 and your ecm doesnt know the difference so its still fueling vs maf FQ as if it had 2.8 injectors.
