I need code 43 help

Have any of you had any luck fixing code 43?

I have the some info on how to track what it is, but it always checks out.

Now, under light to hard acceleration the car will hesitate real bad, almost to the point where the RPM's will not even rise.

It would be either a bad sensor or the wire from the sensor to the ECM is bad. Bad wire includes the connectors.

May also be the MEMCAL as that houses the knock filter. Rare, but it can happen.

The $88 mask doesn't have a forced knock test, it only checks the resistance of the sensor and for run-away knock.

Acceleration suffers as when a code 43 is present a set amount of timing is removed.

It be a microphone. Low on passenger side of block, right above oil pan rail. Between starter & motor mount.

My mistake, I didn't realize that you didn't know that code 43 was an ESC malfunction: the knock control system. So when you asked what he sensor was. . well, it is a microphone (seriously).

Anyway, what zoomzoom says, the ESC system, or knock sensor. Round metal can like thing with a single wire lead to it. Almost round connector, press wider sides of connector to release hooks and pull off.
