thermostat in 3.4 and 2.8 same?....and very upset today

thought about it today when i was about to buy a new t-stat and couldn't remember if i wanted 180 or 190 or whatever (195 is stock right?) and was curious if the t-stat in the 3.4 was the same. Unless the whole assembly from the 2.8 stays with the car I guess it doesn't matter.

Anyway today I stopped at the wrecking yard 20mins from house and found out they got a 95 camaro in last week.........with a 3.4..............................that ran...............fine............

And it was $@#%& sold already.

i'll just have to start calling all the wrecking yards everyday i guess.

Yes, T-stat is the same, 2.8 intake, 3.1 intake, 3.4 intake.

Stock is 195
I recommend 180-185
Serious race only, 160.

3.4 thermostat does not fit a 2.8 intake.
The 3.4 is a slight bit smaller in size.
And the 3.4 seats differently due to rubber gasket on the 3.4 thermostat neck housing.
I recall as I wanted to use the "newer one" but due to sizing, I bought new 2.8 t-stat.
