did you
change the oil lately with some heavier oil? That will make the oil pressure raise some.
IS the pressure still the same once the car warms up?
Hey its better than it being too low...

I changed the oil with the same weight 10-40 Only thing different is i put a quart of marvel mystery oil in for my lifters and it did quiet them down allot but the mystery oil is very thin so i dont think that would cause it.

how long ago did you change it?
Did this happen right after you added the mmo?
Im just guessing here but i know mmo is supposed to clean the inside of the engine pretty good so many be it cleaned some junk up and the junk is partially clogging your oil filter? That would make the oil pump try harder and raise pressure wouldnt it?
If its been awhile or you've drove for a distance long enough for the mmo to work through the engine i'd chenge the oil and or the filter again

Actually, that would be a sign of seriously improved efficiency in the oiling system.. like.. right-out-of-the-factory or higher oil pressure... this is generally a *good* thing, unless the MMO sent a clog through that gummed up the oil pressure relief bypass, which isn't likely.
I think you just posted the most comprehensive proof we have that the stuff works.. I think I'm investing in a few gallons

I wouldnt worry about it. I use synthetic and those numbers match up to mine, 60 idlin and i do hit the 80's while driving.... it varies though on my car, but its usually high. I dont think its anythin to worry about. Before i changed my oil it was ruff at 20 psi, so im just glad i got it flowing better!

You people suck... Wish I got that kinda oil pressure outta my brand new motor. 25-30 psi at idle, and rarely passes 40. :P
60 is pretty awesome.

Put about half a quart of MMO in my V6 today.. probably be a little while before she racks up enough miles for any difference to be seen.. I'll let you guys know what happens though.

any one know how MMO would work with fuel injectors and fuel pump it says you can put it in your gas. Would it hurt anything?

I recall a previous thread going on about MMO in the fuel system.. searching might be an idea.
As far as mine, there's a full quart of MMO in the V6 now.. it's having little effect on my hot idle oil pressure.. still under 20 psi. Impending internal doom or just an unhappy turbo, I cannot say.. but it looks like my only way out will be a high volume oil pump for now. I'll bring this thread back if anything changes to prove to me MMO works in extreme cases
