Heater cores are awalys fun to do took me 11 hours that included finding a ride to the part store because they screwed up and gave me the wrong part.

You live in Texas. Screw a heater core. Bypass it.

I dont know about your guys' cars but my heater core is on the passenger side. Which would mean that the leak is coming from something else. When my heater core went out it only got the passenger side flooded.

Yeh, heater cores tend to destroy the pass side carpet, (id know) but as i recall there shouldn't be much of anything on the driverside of the car w/ fluid. Only thing i can thnk of in that general area is the brake booster, hopefully that's no leakin, if it is you'll notice at a *** awful time. Don't think it'd a grand idea to mix something of a liquid (anything that gets the floor wet) and then place that liquid in any contianer or pass it through any container that runs close to the electronics of the dash and whatnot, just my personal. Had it rained b4 ur car was really wet? If it had, be very brave and drive it through a power car wash, would tell u where any weatherstripping leak is in a heart beat, plus it'll tell you where all the other leaks are too, (the ones that don't leak, unless under high pressure) Hope ya find ur problem.

Evap coil is also on the passenger side, and it's actually in the engine bay. Have you pulled the carpet back, from against the firewall? Maybe you can see the source of the leak. Try to sop up some of the moisture with a paper towel, and see if it has a color and/or texture to it (such as green/sticky, antifreeze; clear/brown and slimy, brake fluid, etc). Another idea is to place some newspaper underneath the carpet and wait a day or so. Hopefully the area of "concentration" from the leak source will make an imprint on the paper. Maybe the water is coming from the heater core somehow, and that would leave a trail on the paper from the right side of the driver's side footwell.
