my good man dennis, ur car is right on w/ where a stock and good tuned v6 bird/maro should be running. Mine never seems to be in good tune, and i for some reason really suck at the track, but eh, yeh 18 was the besti could pull, at 73. and mine pos is modded. LOL.

the funny thing is the guy gave me the car cause the timing chain was broke its got 216,843 miles on it and the only mod is a flowmaster catback

the exhaust doesnt sound all that good past 3500rpm it starts sound like a weed eater at that rpm but oh well so i guess thats not bad for that car then cool

That's about right

Be nice if the tranny shifted sooner huh? I think that's one of the things that hurt these motors fo ET's, they hold 1st and 2nd too long.

to long as when we're not making any more power? yeh, i've kinda noticed that myself, when driving locally, i'll get better performance if i hold just b4 wide open throttle, and let the car shift b4 those wideopen shift points that are up in high heaven. But then i don't get the neck snapper effect from the vette servo and boost valve combo.:lala:

Don't it blow

I'd like to be able to hit 3rd before I go through the traps. My car seems to pull so much harder in third (still wish I had a 5 speed, or one of those Munumatic things...hmmmm)

Just be thankful you're not at a high rpm in your top WOT gear.....gives you space to get faster. You think 5500's too high? Try 6500, on an 8-cyl!

These times you guys are posting are pretty damn good for those motors..... Dennis, yours sounds definitely strong, and Doward's, well......that's just nuts.
