it's called a burnout. If you've got a Torque monster v8, you can do it by stomping the gas pedal, if you have a v6 you do what we call a torque stand, or brake-stand. In this, you push the brake all the way to the floor, and then you mash the gas, or slowly increase (ur choice). The truth of the matter is, it may look cool occasionally, but after you realize that your tire has burned to nothing, and ur replacing rubber, it's not nearly as cool. That and its not exactly easy on the transmission.

LoL This reminds me of all those **** rocket squids in my area who pull burn-outs at stop signs....a week later you see them at big-o getting a new set of tires....

Hell, if ya got the money to keep replacing 'em, have fun.

If it is on a stick, you can do it. It looks seriously retartded, but that is not the point to them. They think it is kewl cause they can spin their tires like the big boys, but what they don't realize is that they can only spin their front trires, witch with my screwed up mind I think looks really dumb, and idiotic.

agreed. You need a rear wheel drive car if you want to prove anything.

The funny thing is, its not really about prooving anything, its about knowing that your car can do it. I just say let them do all of their dumb antics, but in the long run I will prevail, actually I think it will be a short run!

Heh... amen. The years I spent with my V6 as my daily driver, I often tried to get that bloody right rear to let loose without any success whatsoever... except once in the rain.. and when I did neutral drops (but it never stayed spinning). Since stepping up to the V8, I think I've honestly tried about.. oh.. three times... all with success... and tried not to during a launch numerous times.. with failures to keep it planted... ya just don't care about it as much if you know your car can do it. The expensive rubber part keeps you in check, as well as the "Exhibition of Speed, second offense, mandatory jailtime" bit.. yeah.. not worth it

Thats what all the people, say until they have gotten a ticket or somthing like that.

I can understand how they feel, cause it used to be me, then I got a V8 and a few tickets, and I guess thats why it is easy to say one thing and feel totally different. But unfortunatly most people do not have the kind of money to get two cars, and pay for gas, insurance repars/maintenance.

I guess all we can do is just say to them, "Its not worth it, cause youl'll get hooked, and then you'll get busted"

I mean, I'm not saying never try it at all, but go out where you cant be busted, its alot safer, sure the people arround are your friends, but who is going to care more then them. Just dont do it on a busy steet, where you may hurt someone, or heaven forbid kill them.

Yeh, i think that burnouts tend to relate to people who are young, just get their car , and wanna make it go smokey like all the dragsters do, and how we remembr dukes of hazards etc doing. On the ***** note and four banger, watch out for things like Eclipse AWD's , those turbo cars will show you what a 4 wheel burnout looks like, on the same token is the 3000GT-VR4, they will do a quick turn over, but u'd be amazed if you ever get to drive one. Come around a turn, slam the gas pedal, dump the clutch, let the engine rev, and tires spin out, car will instantly catch, and you've got 305hp planted to all 4 wheels, and away you go. PLAIN JANE AMAZING~~!!!!
