Driver VS. Car
Something interesting happened on my way to work this morning. I beat out a TA GTA on the freeway, I think it may have been more of a driver error though, but the guy definatly looked like he knew what he was doing. Or maybe it was the fact that i had a few pounds lighter than him, anyway the good thing about this is after we were done I was able to pass a gas station. Anyone else have any luck with a V6 vs. V8?? And for all you people who think I'm talkin **** about V8's I am a firm believer in the theory "there is no replacement for displacment" I know you can beat me but it was fun this morning. Anyway when I was in school I never beat up the little guy (wasn't ever a challenge)

Weight isnt an issue, theres not that much of a difference. He has much much more hp and tq then you do.
Either the guys car only has 1st and 2nd gears or he wasnt racing at all.
Maybe he was just playing with you.

on the highway, between him going "eh, I can get him easy, don't need to downshift all the way" and 2.73 gears, I could see this rather easily.

I'm going to call this non-tech and lock it rather than fully express my views on the stupidity of racing on a populated freeway.
