biggest valves?

i know you can get 1.8" intakes from supersix... how? the 1.72 and 1.42s are quite close to eachother as it is. i know that they say you can go 1.8 and 1.6 (?). does anyone have any of these heads or info they can give me. please no "you don't need it" or anything like that...anybody with real info? also, what's the best way to raise the floor in the ports? such as, welding or epoxy or what? thanks for any help.

I have spoken to Tom at Supersix personaly. He has assured me the same worry I had about the room, I was concerned that the seats would crack- He said no, there is enough room to get the 1.8's in the intake comfortably. Exhaust valves stay 1.42", They are plenty large- Our problem is intake, not exhaust.

Welding is always best, but Epoxy has been done. I just dont trust epoxy coming loose over time, fuel soak, and heat.

You might want to try and put a bronze liner in the intake guide bore so you can use 5/16'' valve stems and get some near 1.8'' diameter valves.
That would help, I'm useing 5/16'' intake valves on my Z28's heads.
