Wana buy new injectors

I've got 163k miles on the car and would say it's safe to say that the injectors are cracked, clogged and overall not atomizing the way they need to be. where can I get the best deal on a new set? Would it be benificial to get a higher fow injector and would that require a better fuel regulator and/or pump to obtain the higher flow?

Stock 2.8/3.1 injectors are supposedly 14lb/hr, I ran a set of 17lb/hr for a few weeks and at idle there was so much excess fuel getting dumped in the engine it would flood and stall after 30-60 seconds. Power increase was non-existant and gas mileage went straight to hell.

Get a couple three sets of 3.1 injectors, use an ohm meter to check the resistance. Make one set of 6 injectors with the closest resistance values. If the injectors are bad you'll have a dead cylinder. Its pretty obvious when they stop working.

15pph = 3.1
17pph = 3.4

If you can stand to have your car down for about a week, pull your injectors, and send them to Rich @ Cruizinperformance - Run you about $75, he'll completely rebuild and blueprint them for ya!

Sorry but I ran 19Lbers in mine and it ran great for over 2 years.
Only thing I did was reset the ECM after the install. And Milage to the tank was approx 320-350, so if anything it increased a little.
Only ran a little rich at start up, and I must also say that I got a evening out of power due to the lean spots going away from the stock injectors low rating.

been thinking about doing the same to mine, one question tthough

do you have any mods that require the beefier injectors? becasue if so that may be the difference between the 2 of you

very mild porting on the intermediate, and I do mean MILD, not even 1/32, just to smooth out more then anything.
Other then that, not a thing done to the motor, bone stock.

I know the motor did not REQUIRE the larger injectors, but man did it ever run better WITH them.

And 5 out of 10 fiero owners will tell you that 5.0L Ford injectors run fine in their cars, yet I've seen a built 3.1L in a fiero cough and sputter and run like **** with Accell 19lb injectors fresh out of the boxes.

My 3.1 ran 10 times better with the malfunctioning stock injectors then it did with the practically new 3.4 injectors I was running. The car was bone stock except for no cat, all adjustments were set at factory specs. If the 3.4 injectors had worked, I wouldn't have scavanged 3.1 injectors from Cavaliers, Corsicas, and Grand Prixs to make my car run right.
