Vacuum at idle

What's the vacuum supposed to be at idle on the 2.8? I know it's been discussed before, but the search is not helping. Working on the car right now. Thanks guys.

You could have as much a 26'' of water.
If it is an older 2.8 you most likey don't.

If you're running 26 inches of WATER you're in trouble. What is a good vacuum pull is around 14-18 inches of MERCURY... AKA 14-18 in. Hg...

There right.
This is why you should not fly half way around the world and start posting.

Well, depending on where I hooked up to the engine I got 15.5-16.5 in-hg, rock steady. At the egr solenoid/decel valve I got 15.5, and directly off the manifold I got 16.5. Should I check for a vacuum leak, or is this good?

I also tested the tps voltage and got 0.51V which is within spec.
