low idle then dies
today my friends car died so i went to give him a jump. we removed the batterey from my car and hooked it up to his because we were on the free way and could npt just jump it. wen i put the battery back on i coudlnt tighten it all the way so it was loose. wen i got home to turn the car off, right before i did the rpm needle tacked out but the engine didnt really rev. and then i shut it off. wen i turned it back on the idle was jumping between 1500 and 2000 rpms and then it drops down slowly to close to 500 rpms. i took it to the store and it died on me 3 times. it always happens wen i stop and the idle will drop all the way down and it just dies. is there sumthin to explain this?

Engine: blown up
Transmission: in peices
1. reset the ECM.
2. The third gens in my experiance have issues with large power drops, or having the battery removed while running.
It can make the electrical system go nuts.
Once you reset the ECM and have the battery back in CORRECTLY, the RPM shifts will stop.
Mine did this a few times, it is how I traced a bad engine ground.
