another update on the new throttle body
i have been pretty busy lately and haven't had as much time to work on my intake stuff as i'd like. but, yesterday i drove the car around for a little while with the new throttle body all hooked up and working. it worked smoothly and i had no problems. throttle response was good and all. i did go ahead and make a spacer so that i could run in on the stock manifold. i have the materials that i need to make the new plenum and all but i haven't had time lately to do too much with that. but, it won't be too long...

You should fab up spacers with a swirl grove in them. its the new thing in the car mag I got. TB spacers with a grove cut to swirl the air.

i've seen many TB spacers made that way. i don't really see the advantage to them but, i see even less advantage to something like that on a fuel injected motor. part of the reason for it under a throttle body injection setup or a carb is to help the air and fuel to mix. just having the swirls where there is just air passing through would probably hurt the airflow.
