Help me Please again???

Well today i decided to wash my motor compartment, soaped it all up when it was warm, started it up and started washing it. After I was done, drove the car down the street and then back home, let it sit for about 20 mins, went out started it, started first turn, but turned over at like 200-300 rpm then i gave it gas and it shoot up to around 2100 rpm. The car refuses to idle now, lowest it idled tonight was 1800, the car seems to have lost a lot of power, I also noticed it was bacfireing threw the air cleaner when i floored it. What could I have done now? I was thinking water in the dist cap, but all that is new, but still maybe, although last time i had that the car did not run at all, what do you think the problem could be now? Any help would be great, i'm a little worried Thanks

That prob would have been great to know before. Now what do I do, the thing is running like crap. All the sensors are new on it to, could one be bad, when u start the car it barly runs, then u give it a lil gas and it jumps to about 2000 rpm and stays there, then if ur drving and u give it a good amount of gas u can here it back fire from the front of the motor. I was thinking TPS or IAC or MAF, all are new though which i don't understand. WHat can i do guys, this is a daily driver, i hope i didn't screw myself over, Thanks

my guess is you shorted one of your sensors, i'd say the tps or maybe messed up the iac
