If you look just to the passanger side of the distributor, feel down the shaft - you'll feel a bolt, with a small distributor clamp - it's a 15mm bolt - remove it, and then you can just pull the distributor out!

There is a clamp with 1 bolt bolted to the engine block if I remember correctly. Make sure you mark the distributer by drawing a line with chalk from the tower to the block so you can put it back in exactly where it was otherwise your timeing will be way off and the car wont start.

And make sure you also mark the rotor placement compared to the distributor. If the rotor (or distributor) doesn't go on in the same position as you take it off, the car won't run. It probably wouldn't be a bad idea to get a timing light always to make sure everything is correct.

Ok so now i dont know where the oring is supposed to be.....if anyone has a picture of the distributor with the oring on there that would be great!
I said was a 15mm swivel scoket, not a swivel and a scoket.

I bet you've got an o-ring; and I bet it doesn't look like an o-ring anymore, that's why you're not seeing it.
Look for a black piece of hard plastic between two lands (bumps on distributor shaft). The edges will look square, they won't look round like an o-ring. Take a screwdriver to it and snap it in half.
Then take the busted hard-as-plastic one, and bend it backwards. You'll see a million little cracks- the cause of the oil leak.
