I was wondering how much horsepower can be squeezed out of a fourth gen v6? Are there many performance mods for these motors? I'm going to need a motor and tranny for my project blazer and I need to know if the v6 is a slug or not. Are there any problems with the 4th gen trannies? Would you recommend automatic or stick?

I've seen an rksport s/c & a powerdyne s/c kit. each are pricey, but there is at least 1 turbo kit out there. The 4L60E is what you make of it. same as the t5.
and no, the 3800 is not a slug. AS for power squeezed out of them....I know of 2 cars that havae gone low 12's, one on juice, and the other supercharged w/a shot of juice.
