Ongoing projects?
Just wondering how peoples' projects are coming along. Doward's intake manifolds, AM91's Throttle bodies, and RTFC's intake. I ahvn't been on as much as I used to, got involved with my girlfriends H22 motor (HOnda, shameful...). But anyhow, I'm just wanting to know how things are progressing

I have the new tranny back up. I was able to aquire the proper torque arm bracket, 98+ auto only, and now I have to either modify or have a new cross member made because the tranny mount is, well...LOOK
How the 95 4L60E lined up
Hint for everyone: when swapping trannies, grab those two bronze fitment adapters off the old tranny. It'll keep teh coolant lines from moving back & forth after the fittngs been bottomed out
New plug wires are in, and I found out that the 1/4 coil pak is mislabeled for the 3800. It goes 4/1. the other way is for
the 3.4.
I hope to have some gas back in the car & see if it'll fire up again sometime this week. Still need to hook up the new air filter box, secure the wing, & 50 billion other loose ends.
That's all

well my projects are all on my towncar
they are: just paid to have a 88 mustang engine hottanked bored, new pistons rings water/oil pump, bearings, reground crank and cam, heads redone 3angle, springs, gasket set, new injectors. its all finished machine work just needs to be assembled.
gotta save for a lsc tranny (higher stall tcc)
i have factory oil and tranny cooler for it off a tow package car. also going to fab a remote oil filter into the trans lines so i dont have to drop the pan to change the filter. just use the 2$ oil filters
continental kit (the fake spare tire thing that bolts to the back bumper. classy.) its stripped and primed and needs a bracket fabbed.
i had the roof cut off a towncar that has a moon roof. gotta cut mine off and get it weld on.
found a mark 6 with the hideaway headlights. want to do a headerpanel swap.
just bought a complete car stereo for it.
almost bought a dvd player and 2 drop down screens.
and then ill be on the market for an alarm
the camaro is my daily driver.
only thing it needs is a new remote for the alarm
and its exhaust manifold leaks fixed.

I'm about ready to go with my header install and bolting on the 62mm TB as soon as I can get another "auto" TB linkage to properly retrofit and calibrate the idle air adjustment.
Once those two are on and pefected, the intake is then ready to swap in to see what kind of results will be present.
I do not want to change more than one thing at a time on this car so I can get the motor steady and tuned for each step and verify each individual part change to be helpful or hurtful. But yes the intake has been good to go for awhile.
Step one can be either the headers or the 62mm TB. I would really like to see for everones sake if just adding a larger bore TB will make a difference with stock exhaust manifolds, so step one would be nice if it was just the 62mm TB with the alternate "stock" ported mouth plenum that I have somewhat flowfitted to.
step two would be the header install- they are welded and ready (had to make a slight fit adjustment- wasn't too *** damn happy when I bolted them to the 3.4 I have on an engine stand and they were binding pretty badly and not lining up the greatest on the y-pipe connections. I had to cut and reweld one of the seams just slightly trimmed for a better fit. The money I spent on these they should have been flawless so yes I was a little pissed at Greg when I saw this finally and would like to stuff them up his *** if I ever see him. I am since capable of making my own headers now since I bought these a few years back so a quick SS welding fix was no problem and they are now perfect as should have been from the start.
Then step three would be to then replace the ported stock plenum running the 62mmTB with the custom fabbed plenum running the same 62mm TB to see actually results.

I've been tied up myself, working on everyone else's projects ('89 Supra head job w/ porting, '93 Crown Vic tune up, '94 Dakota tune up, building a 8x2x2' cage for a 3' Nile monitor, various oddball computer jobs, rebuilding a wall in my house, do I really need to continue? Not to mention looking for some aluminum stock for a good price, to transform these plans I've got into an actual plenum - as well as the turbo kits
) - BUT - I've FINALLY got a digital camera of my own!! It's just a FD-73 but the price was right (FREE) so I said ok.
Today I'm tied up cleaning at the parents, tomorrow I'll be finishing the Crown Vic and Dakota, the cage was finished as of yesterday, and the turbo kits are awaiting everyone buying in
The T61, I should have Thursday to work on nothing but it - but I want to finish the Supra by the 1st of March, so I can get back to work on the '730 conversion)
Yeah, all in all, need 48 hours in my 24 hour days.

Dean, would it really have taken so long to test fit them to an engine before sending them off?
I damn well will be test fitting every single kit, before it gets sent off - I don't intend to start smearing my name at this point!

project badbird and the new formula are on back burners until i get them transported to my new house which should be about a week or two then badbird is probably getting sent out to start the body work and paint to its shell, hopefully by late march my income tax should be in so i can order my new ram air hood and new front fenders to get them painted then i gotta find a fiberglass wizard in my area so i can hve them make my custom front bumper for me intime to have that painted before june. as for the formula when that gets here i am just waitng for the word to go pick up the tpi motor and the tranny so i can drop them in and pick up my interior from my buddys parts car all this while washing laundry, getting kids off to school and worknig on my 88 kawasaki ninja, which by the way is for sale, but i don't think the moder ators will allow me to post it on the classifieds. oh and all while trying to keep up with the normal maintenance on my durango.wwwwwwwwwwwwhhhhhhhhheeeeeeeeeeewwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i here you doward, not enough hours in the day, lol.

Well let's see.....
Had a daughter born New Year's Day, she's fine.
My .030" 400 block is ready at the machine shop after being sent back out for decking and cam bearing installation, it's going in the S10 in my sig- engine will have stock crank, 6" Scat forged rods, SRP lightwieght forged flat top pistons, file fit moly rings, either an XE274 or XE284 Comp cam with Edelbrock Performer RPM heads, and my Wieand intake and reworked Q-jet. I'm hoping that the ideal quench with aluminum heads makes 10.8:1 liveable with pump premium.
The RS is in need of a brake job, and hopefully some boost soon!
I also bought an '88 Iroc that was advertised for parts but it's too good to part (hit low in the passenger's door/quarter, bodyshop will rough out for $400 if I get a door) and the L98 has antifreeze in the pan. But it's all there, interior is decent, T-tops, good Iroc rims, headers and catback on the engine. Plan is to take my time, pull and repair the engine with some upgrades, gut and repaint the engine compartment while it's out, repaint the whole car back to original. Always wanted an Iroc in the day but couldn't afford one then!
Oh yes and strip, repaint my boat in sig and remove the anchor of a 1961 Evinrude and install the new to me 1996 Honda four stroke so we can do some boating not on the end of a tow rope.....again!
