Headers

the only headers that i have found are for an 85 and up is there any way i can mod these to fit or is there any headers that i have over looked that will fit a 83?

nope, none for a 83 manual. The clutch linkage stuff is in the way.

Are you sure that the clutch linkage is in the way? Has it been confirmed manually? Or does it only look likely judging from pictures etc. ?

Dammit, I really want those headers too. BTW, how hard is it to convert to a hydraulic clutch?

Oh, the cable clutch is great, but if I can't use headers because of it..........

You could always buy the headers and make some modifications to them. Is it the y-pipe that is in the way or just the downpipe itself?

I'm sure the pipes can be manipulated for fitment.
Won't be the first time that has been done!
The market for sales of this product is more broad for post 1985 vehicles than for the earlier F Body.
And I am most sure that the S-10 60* stick shift set up can be made to work, also. That header set has the A.I.R. tubes

i guess ill just stick to the stock headers and throw a nice exhaust on there.
