Rear Camshaft Seal

I'm doing my clutch, because my stupid rear main seal flooded the clutch, so I'm changin that. While I'm in there I wanna take care of the camshaft seal as preventive maintenance. I can't find a rear camshaft seal at any parts stores and no one knows what I'm talkin about.

What I'm wondering is if when I take that off, if you can use some gasket maker or silicone or something? I'm confused lol

Go to a GM parts department, no one else has it. I wouldn't use just silicone, considering how hard it will be to get to if it leaks.

Few dollars like $4-ish
MANDATORY WORK TO BE DONE
Make sure it's clean up there & ya give your ride some time to let it cure & seal.
Don't matter if a 2.8/3.1/3.4 as it seems all same part.
Lousy project to do but so worth it!
Atleast ya doing other great projects same time. That's the time to replace it, when it's exposed for easy access. Cause dropping tranny is the only way to do it.

Ya. I'm broke right now so I gotta do it piece by piece. The Tranny has been out for quite a while and is in my bedroom I got the money to do most of it, but ran short and cant get the flywheel taken care of so It's gotta wait longer :'( So it will have plenty of time to cure lol
