I'm working on some of the cam profiles, to add to Desktop Dyno 2k... does anyone have one, for the MTC-5 camshaft?

i haven't read that link, i will let that one for doward, as he needs the info. rather than saying that is what you think it is, it is better to just post the link and let poeple make their own decissions. (just a hint of advise)

a 204/214 @ .050 cam isn't that big....its tons smaller than the one you're planning.

alan you are correct, but his is on a turbo application, and for a turbo application, that is prety good. turbo applications respond better to cams like that one than they do one like the one i am ordering on the 15th. for us n/a guys, the one i am ordering is the top of the ladder, but for turbo guys that is way way too much. i got a few friends that are turbo guru's like doward is and they have taught me some things along the way about turbo's

yeah, you're right. but, that cam is plenty mild for a turbo application.

you are prolly right on that one, but personally i would do some more work before i set on a turbo cam that way i can be positive that i got the best cam for my mods(if i were building a boosted engine)

Im thinking about getting this cam, im preparing my car for a turbo and i think this cam would work nicely. Its slightly more aggressive then the mtc-5.

turbo cam

personally i think that the 250801 from crane would be the best powergetter for a turbo, but that is just me. i think that it may be a little much, but hold the heck on when the turbo comes up on full boost. this cam is one that you want it to come up on boost aroun 3,000 to 4,000. what do you think doward?

The cam I have now, is a GREAT cam, for a stock motor + mild boost (up to about 10psi)

The cam in the new turbo motor, will be a solid cam. I'll also be making sure with my new intake plenum kit, that you can get the damn valve covers off, WITHOUT removing the intake.

I'm keeping everything under wraps, until I'm MUCH closer to my goal.

Odds are, Alan will be the first to see/know what's going on with my new motor

turbo cam
That would also be a really good cam for a turbo application

I won't be back to the track, until I get the non-leaking recirc BOV in, the LCARBs in, and the HD ZT. I'm working on rebuilding the rear end right now
