how to change valve cover gasket
i need to know exactly what this entails and my biggest question is about the Injectors what will i have to do to them to complete this job? i have a second crap engine identical to the one in my car and i did the removal on it and have not messed with the one in my car yet cause i dont know what to do with the injectors. do i have to remove them? and if i do how do i put them back without F'ing them up?

You could just lay down a bead of blue RTV silicone for a valve cover gasket. Since you'll be taking the plenum apart and pulling the injectors, you'll need to buy an "upper intake gasket kit" made by FelPro, and a set of injector o-rings made by Standard. I forget the part # for Felpro, but the kit by Standard is SK-9. It comes with 16 o-rings, but you'll only use 12.
Never re-use old injector o-rings because the old o-rings crack and cause a vacuum leak. And don't re-use old plenum gaskets because they harden up and won't re-seal properly, so you'll get vacuum leaks from that, too.
Now when you remove the injector rail from the car, yes it'll be stuck in there, so you'll have to pry the rail up carefully with a big screwdriver, but do NOT disconnect the fuel hoses!! Just:
1. Unclip the injector harnesses (label the connectors first)
2. Unscrew the cold start injector fitting at the top of the rail. NOTE: Try not to bend this pipe at all!! If you bend it, it'll be hard to thread back on, so be careful not to cross thread it!!
3. Remove the two (if i recall correctly) 13mm bolts holding the injector rail down
4. Pry the injector rail up
**5. Remove two 10mm screws on metal clips that hold the fuel lines to the engine
**6. Swing the injector rail up and out of the way, it swivels on the hoses!
If you look closely at the driver's side fender at http://www.geocities.com/tomp_3rdgen pic #5, you can see the fuel hoses - still connected to the fuel rail - hanging over the side. This wasn't the smartest because we probably stressed those hoses a bit, but hey it wasn't my car!
If the pintle caps on the injectors crack, no big deal, you don't need them. The car runs without them. But change the old o-rings at the end.
Now you said you had another engine? You could send those injectors to http://www.cruzinperformance.com to be cleaned, and when you work on your car, put those cleaned ones in instead. Rich J. will put new o-rings and pintle caps on the injectors after he cleans them.
