Trans Cooler Lines

Ok so on the radiator there is a upper and lower fitting for the transcooler lines and on the trans there are (obviously) 2 of the same type of connecter, but on the trans there kinda staggered not really a upper and a lower.... so my question to anybody that can help is this, does it matter how the lines are hooked up? or do they need to be done a certain way? my haynes manual just says remove/install transcooler lines not how to do it, thank you in advance guys.

not really...
you would rather have the lower fitting (if there is one on the rad) to the output of the trans.
Just for easier flow...
in high, out low...

Awesome, i guess i was correct in thinking its just a pump then, and if the upper trans line is connected to the lower radiator fitting, itd just need to pump more fluid to build up pressure, but itd still work all the same, great, no lowering the trans again *phew*

If you're using the factory lines it's nearly impossible to connect them wrong without bending them all to hell. The bottom port on the transmission should send fluid to the bottom port on the cooler.

the engine i bought came with cooler lines, it has about 5 inchs of metal line from the tranny, some length of rubber hose and then about another 2 inchs of metal line into the radiator, they are exactly the same length, i guess ill switch around the fittings on the tranny, good thing i lost my drive shaft ujoint retainer clip bolts and dont have my driveshaft in.....
