how fast is a 3800 firebird?

a stock 3800 in a firebird with 200 less pounds on the car,everything else is stock,and assuming perfect conditions,how fast will it run the quarter?

mid to low 15's would be my guess with a stick. My buddy has a pretty mild 3.8 with some engine work, and a cat back and 75 shot and went 14.2.

stick or auto? my GP does the 1320 15.5 w/fram air filter. F-bod should be faster w/3.42 rear & less weight. Some have gotten their stick cars n/a into the 14's.

5 speed with 3.73s,15inch rims, with 200lbs less wieght and a just enough gas to go down the track.

and good driver, 14's. remove teh belt, as it cain be ran for that limited time.

top speed, I've seen different times, but limited to like 110~115 w/stock pcm. not sure on o-60, as the timeslip page I looky see @ is down.

yeah, about 200 hp seems to get these cars about as fast as i would ever need to go.

i just want enough power to keep up with stock mini vans and stuff. i hate getting eaten at every light by dump trucks and old people



allthou for only 80hp[at the crank!] the duke will get going on the hiway!!

i would love to see a dyno of a stock duke with 150,000 miles on it!!!

65hp 100tq,thats just so funny to think about.

theres some fast v6s on there.

and when i do my build im going to be building for 200hp/200tq at the wheels. i doubt ill get that but ill sure as hell try.

im building a four but the sixs are close in power to weight compared to the 3.0 l4.
