Okay, I'm not sure as to exactly which board this belongs on, but the guys in the Trans boars seem to like to flame V6'ers.

Now for the question: What is the weakest link in the 700R4? Is it the governor or the pump? I have to obtain an oil pressure gauge to take some oil pressure readings, but I think one of the major problems is due to low oil pressure.

Also, can someone possibly dig up a diagram of the fluid flow for the torque convertor clutch circuit? I know the electrics are good, I just need to know where to start looking for the hydraulic problems, if there are any.


(In case some are wondering why I am asking questions about both the 700R4 and the V6 T5 at the same time, I am trying to get at least ONE working transmission in the car so I can make it back to my technical school and work on the other. However, I would much rather have the T5 for keeps and sell a good, working 700R4 to someone who might need one.
