Can you indentify this Camaro?
Hello,
Someone if offering me to trade is 1985 Chevrolet Camaro V6 for my 88 GTA + 3000$.
His car seem pretty clean so I may say yes since I can't afford the GTA for much mire longer... Is this a Berlinetta or a Sport Coupe? Do you think it has been repainted? Is the Camaro emblen at the right place? Any comments would be appreciated, you can see pics here:

From the pictures, it does appear its been repainted to a stock apperance.
I am not sure if the 85 burly's came with a spoiler.
I dont think the rims are stock either, but look better then stock.
Emblem on the fender is in correct location as far as I can tell.
Very clean for an 85 IMO.

The more I look at it, the more I think it been repainted... The mirrors are black!
I don't know if the lower body and side moldings should be the same color as the rest of the car in these yearsor a different color.

its a sport coupe with z28 rims and an iroc grill with foglights
berlinetta would have a specific stripe kit, badges, painted mirrors, gold turbines, interior, clear signals and specific steering wheel with cruise buttons.
it either came with 5 star steelies or silver turbines
the camaro logo is in the correct spot.
the front fascia with lower colour painted slats and headlight buckets is correct 85 is the first year for fuel injection and that body style of more rounded nose.
the side mouldings are the correct unpainted black.
usually repaints are half assed and paint the mirrors fascia and mouldings. i dont think it is a repaint, if it is its a good one.
that car is an 86 or an 85 with an 86 hatch. it is the only year with the exterior mounted 3rd brake light. check the door sticker. if there is no door sticker or if theres overspray on it then probably door was replaced.
i really like that car, wish mine had ttops
i would do the trade for sure.
