you can possibly get a little better performance from the 3.4 (17lb) injectors. I don't see the need for them seeing as how i'm running stock 15lb injectors on my built 3.1 but some people claim gains with the 17s. However, you have to get the computer tuned for them.

The Computer tuned for them? I used all stock 2.8 stuff and the Computer with the 3.4 block and 3.4 injectors and it was fine. I thought all you have to do is disconnect the battery and let it relearn everything with the new injectors.

One thing is that you had the 3.4 injectors with the 3.4 motor but it probably still could have used some tuning. But, the 3.1 computer is set up to hold the injectors open for X amount of time (per pulse) at WOT; if you hold the 3.4 injectors open for that same time, you will send a lot more fuel into the motor. The computer won't "relearn" injectors. it will adjust at part throttle but that's becuase the o2 sensor reads the mixture in the exhaust and sends the signal to the computer and it adjusts. it doesn't work that way at WOT, though.

Ah, so using those 24lb/hr injectors I've got lying around would be bad, eh?
Dang it. Something else I should probably sell....

No NA reason for 24lb unless it's a 3.4 spinning beyond 9000rpm.... on the other hand, I might want to buy those 24lb units...

LH0 is the 3.1, yes.
Larger injectors aren't going to do anything except lower your gas mileage, foul your plugs, dirty up your exhaust, etc.
When I got my 3.1 bird the injectors were bad, I had access to a nearly new set of 3.4DOHC injectors. With those injectors the car would run, but just barely. It would only idle for about 45 seconds before it would flood and die. Plugs lasted about a week at a time. Performance was awful.
I swapped 3 of the original injectors that tested good, along with 3 mismatched 2.8 injectors and it ran better... After a while I got a couple handfuls of 3.1 injectors out of Lumina's and Grand Prix's and that combination provided the best all around performance.
In other words, if your stock injectors work (all six cylinders fire and the plugs look the same) then leave them alone. 17, 19, 22, 24lb injectors will only cause you problems unless you want to start burning your own chips.

If you are looking to replace injectors in the 2.8 or 3.1 engines I would go with a Bosch injector (actually for any engine). The Multec's are just a terrible injector, not worth putting into any engine.
For the 2.8/3.1l engines there are some gray top Bosch injectors used in some Fords. These have the same flow rating as the stock injectors, which makes them a drop in. Here is the info I have on them:
Not many apps listed, however, they may be used in others. If you are looking for used/cleaned/matched ones check the lindertech site. He sells them cleaned and flow matched just for the 2.8/3.1l engines.
