those EPA rating are bunk.
I get 25-28 city with a T5, but my city is not bumper to bumper traffic, like they include in the equation.
Same go for highway, the bumper to bumper traffic jams of CA are included.

you will never get better overall fuel economy out of an auto car if they are identical and one has stick and one auto. the stick has less mass and is easier to turn plus the auto has convertor slip till it goes into lockup. How many truly fast I4 or for that matter V6 engines that are auto? not that many. fact is a stick has less parts, weighs less, and is more efficient at transmiting power.

I would have to say not even who the driver, but HOW is it drove.
If you rev the hell out the motor before you shift every gear, its going to kill it.
If you shift at about the same points as the auto, coast a bit, its going to do same or better.

My feelings are, it's a Camaro.
Who cares if the gas mileage sucks. I don't think 16 mpg has ever been bad, plus, if you want gas mileage, by an f-ing Focus or Queervalier or something.
Personally, for the rumble, looks and just plain bad-assness of a Camaro, I'm willing to pay a little more for gas every week.
