got a 3.4
Tore out the interior the day before yesterday. Found no rust, so today I picked up that 3.4 at the junkyard. It's out of a 94 camaro and has 126K on it, so I'll probably have it rebuilt. For now I'll be soaking the exhaust manifold bolts with break-free (along with the plug of doom) and taking off everything I don't need. I'll also be spending some time now shopping for everything I'll need.
I'm going mainly for fuel economy. All I plan on for the internals are roller rockers, and head port/polishing, but I need to see what the prices are for that first. Besides, I might have the tranny rebuilt when it comes time to swap engines, and as I have no problems developing with the current engine and tranny, I may decide to see just how many more miles I can squeeze out of them. 186K so far.
And I gotta tell ya, pulling engines and tearing out/ reinstalling interiors with a sprained knee sucks
she's a beauty
