lt1 injectors on v6???

lt1 injectors on v6???

will lt1 injectors work on with the stock v6 ecm?
reason im asking is cause my 3.4 injectors arent big enough for the twin turbo setup.i was gonna get a stock set of tpi injectors but those are gonna be to small.and i can get a stock lt1 24# set for 60$'s
i dont want to spend the money on new aftermarket injectors caue it looks like i will be selling the car shortly

Engine: 3.4 outa 95' bird
Transmission: T5
Axle/Gears: 3.42 open rear
a fourth gen guy(tiago) runs them on his 3.4 turbo with no problems, im assuming he has a tune to go from 17lb injectors to 24 lb injectors, they will plug into your harness, and get a tune, and your good to go.

thnx man yeah i have 17# injectors now and there to small,
anyone have any idea what fuel presures and lt1 runs at,wanna make sure in not gonna have to bump fp to get that 24# flow out of them

i think it is 45, but i also dont think it matters, a 24 lb injector in an lt1 will still be a 24 lb'er in a 2.8, but if i am wrong, which i dont think i am, nothing a afpr cant help to set the needed base fp. are you gonna use a FMU or tune the ecm for fuel?

i have an fmu on the car now and with a 12-1 ratio disk the car goes lean at high rpm @8-9 psi with 17# injectors,and thats whith the single turbo.if the 24# injectors are large enough i should be able to tune with the wideband and fmu,cause the maf deff maxes around 5-7 psi.the 24# injectors will deff require ecm tunning though so it dosent idle dead rich,with the 17# ones i didnt have a problem

The LT1 24#/hr rating is at the nominal 45 psi that the 3.1l runs at. In the LT1 they run them at 58 psi for 28#/hr of flow.

They will plug right into the 3.1l harness and rails. Just remember that they are Multec's. And have the Multec issues.

rbob its 2.8 they are going in.what issues are ther with the multecs?are those the ones that lock up above 80 psi fp?i can get a set of used 24# svo injectors instead but im trying to spend as lil money as possible.since i hav somone comming to look at the car next week to possibly purchase the car.(and they know the car is going to need tunning)

Biggest issue with Multec's is that the windings short. This causes all kinds of problems. If you can measure the coil resistance prior to purchase, it is a good idea.

As for increased pressure, the differential pressure needs to be kept below 60 psi.

Differential being fuel pressure minus the manifold pressure. Say, at 6 psi of boost: 6 + 60 = 66 psi max fuel pressure. It is typical for them to start locking up somewhere between 60 and 65 psi of differential pressure.

so if i run 14+ psi boost i can prolly get away with 74#'s fp?
