Need vac line part!!!
Need vac line part!!!
Ok I have a "T" connector on my vac lines. Problem is 1 of the lines broke off inside the connecter and I can't get it out. So I need a new connector, problem is that no auto part stores around me carry 1 like what I have. The only cary the connector that the plastic house goes over the connector, not in and it's white on top of things. If anyone can help me find this part I'd appreciate it. I keep getting SES lights every once in awhile and I had AZ pull the codes and it's a vac line problem. I replaced a couple broken lines and still getting the code so that's the only 1 I can think of. I also checked a couple junk yards and couldn't even find any 3rd gens really, and if they did have any, there motors where ripped out.

The pic is so small it is hard to make out the part, but it doesn't look like anything I have on my '87. Mine looks just like Project's pic.

That is not a factory part. It looks like an aftermarket t-splice you could buy at any major parts store. Something was added by splicing in another component. I can't tell from the pic why they spliced into that line, or what that piece is above the EGR solenoid. It's already not original, so just replace it with any t-fitting and hoses you can find locally. If you can't find black, just get white fittings and paint them.
Ya, I checked Auto Zone, Advance Auto, and a couple other auto part stores. None of them have ever seen it before and they all had "T" connectors, just the 1 I have now the hose goes inside the connecter where as the 1 the stores has, the hose goes on the outside. Guess I'll have to go check again and see what they have to offer. Thanx.
Well I just took a drill and drilled out the peice. So now I was able to reconnect the house. I ended up cracking the connector a little but I think it's past where they connect so I think it'll be alright.

Glad you got it fixed.
That is a stock tee, on the Camaro it is hidden under the throttle body.
Just to clear up some confusion. He's got a Firebird...vacuum lines to the charcoal can run on the passenger side, (Camaro lines are on the driver side) thats what those 2 hoses to the wide rubber connector at the left of the pic are going to.
